Our first ever walk-a-thon is just a few days away! We are really excited about this fundraiser and hope that you are all having great success getting sponsorships. It’s not too late to ask for sponsors – a phone call or email is a great way to reach out-of-town family and friends.
Here are the times that the children will be walking:
Grades: 1,2 with 8,9 (those in study hall): 8:30-9:15am
Grades: 3,4 with 5,6: 9:20am - 10:05am
Grades: Garden with 9-12 (those in study hall): 10:10am - 10:55am
Grades: 7-12 (any who have not yet walked): 11:00am - 11:45am
Awards Ceremony: 1:30-2:00
VOLUNTEERS ARE STILL NEEDED to help with refreshments, help mark the lap cards for the kids as they walk their laps, and other things. If you can help for even part of the morning, please contact KAREN WALSH, kwash3675@yahoo.com, 863-4785!
This is a school-wide event, so EVERY child, regardless of how much money raised, will be participating. Every student will receive a certificate of participation and will be eligible to win other great prizes too, such as Pancake Breakfast with Mr. Thibault, New England Patriots gift basket, Tag Day coupons and other items. In addition to these prizes, top fundraisers at the school could win the following:
• Grand Prize (top student fundraiser): ipod nano •
• Top two fundraisers (grade 7-12): amazon.com giftcards •
• Top two fundraisers (grade 3-6): Best Buy giftcards •
• Top two fundraisers (grade pre-K-2): Toys R Us giftcards •
• Top FOUR fundraising families: $50 J.B. Edwards Uniforms Certificate •
