On Saturday September 22^nd, the Mount Royal school community gratefully welcomed Bishop Peter Libasci onto our new campus. Bishop Peter graciously accepted the school’s invitation to visit, celebrate Mass, and then rededicate the revamped campus a few weeks ago. This evening is Back to School Night. Every year parents, teachers, and administrators come together to discuss the upcoming school year. Important information is handed out, and Mr. Thibault - the headmaster - gives a presentation that covers critical policies and information about the school. There will also be a brief presentation about the athletic program at MRA afterwards.

All parents are invited to come. Teachers will also be available to answer any questions parents might have about the classroom or curriculum.

Mount Royal Academy is excited to announce that it will host a Community Open House and Fall Family Fun Day on Saturday, Oct. 20 from 12-3 p.m. The event, which is open to all, will be held on the school’s campus - 26 Seven Hearths Lane, Sunapee.

Many activities are planned for the afternoon, including a chili cook-off, hay rides, face painting, children’s craft projects, food, games, campus tours and more.

Today we honored the victims of the September 11th tragedies with a morning ceremony around the flag pole outside. We also recognized those members of our school community whom are active public servants as medical professionals, policeman, fireman, or in the armed services.

Just a reminder...Back To School Mass/Potluck THIS SUNDAY, September 9

1. We are hoping that as many of you as possible will come and celebrate the start to the 2012-2013 school year at the 10 a.m. Mass at St. Joachim in Sunapee. EVERYONE is invited to attend this Mass, regardless of whether or not you are Catholic. There are going to be 10 pews reserved for Mount Royal Families, so we are asking you to arrive at the church closer to 9:30 so that we can fill those pews first.

President Reilly of the Cardinal Newman Society will be speaking in the evening at the St. Joseph's Center (7:00pm). On Wednesday, the boys soccer team plays at Sunapee (4:30pm). Please mark your calendars for Saturday, September 22. We are thrilled to announce that Bishop Peter Libasci will be at Mount Royal Academy celebrating Mass for the dedication of our new building! The Mass will be held at 10 a.m. in the St. Joseph's Center. This event is open to the public, and of course, we would love to see all Mount Royal Families at this wonderful event. It is an honor to have the Bishop join us at this dedication. All Mount Royal students attending this Mass should wear their MRA uniforms. A reception will be held immediately after the Mass.
